Jacquelyn Furey

Jackie is a registered psychologist who has a kind, genuine and empathetic approach to her work. She has been providing psychological services for over 20 years in both the private and public sectors.

Through her previous work at a private paediatric clinic and currently in the hospital setting Jackie has gained extensive experience in the assessment and diagnosis of infants, children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delay, learning and behavioural difficulties. Within the hospital setting Jackie is also part of a multidisciplinary clinic that provide long term developmental follow up for babies discharged from the NICU who are at risk of poor neurodevelopmental outcomes.

Jackie is accredited in the Griffiths III, Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development 4th Edition, Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2nd Edition as well as standardised cognitive and learning assessments. She is trained in programs including the Hanen 4 “I”s to Socialise Coaching Parents of Children with Autism and Social Communication Difficulties and the Secret Agent Society Small Group Facilitator program.

In private psychology practice Jackie enjoys having the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and adults; providing assessment and therapeutic intervention for issues including depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, ASD, emotional regulation difficulties, or for any of those difficult situations/challenges that life presents. Jackie views it as a privilege to be able to work collaboratively with her clients in assisting them in achieving their therapeutic goals and to improve their psychological and emotional well-being. Her work is guided by evidence based intervention with her clients’ goals and values always at the forefront.
